I’m looking for some unique Christmas items. What do you suggest?

Try this: Take about an hour and walk through historic downtown Nacogdoches. Many of the antique, variety and jewelry stores have one-of-a-kind items that make great gifts. There’s also a stained glass store and a Texas-themed gift store that are local favorites.

I noticed that Lyric has moved to Main Street and that Adair – a fashion boutique – has opened on North Street, next to Rudd Cleaners. Good signs of interesting stuff for early Christmas shoppers!

what stores would you advise for younger people 18-24 to visit downtown

There are a variety of stores that would interest young people. You can go to http://www.shopdowntownnacogdoches.com for an entire list of stores, and thier contact information. A few that come to mind immediately are Glass Castles, Heart of Texas, Lyric’s, the Cottage, and House of Traditions…however there are many more depending on what the young person’s specific interests are.
